The “Golden Pearl” was one of many ideas within the “Framed sculpture project” and it has become a series to create.



It is all about a contrast between the complex of wavy lines that are filled with spikes and a simple round figure (golden pearl). 


Placing a single round figure with a bright colour of gold within a complicated composition of matt white-coloured unglazed porcelain makes it stand out even more.



The work is seriously time-consuming and I am currently creating the work on a commission basis only.

I also started creating simpler and friendlier version of “Golden Pearl” called Petit Golden Pearl.

The work is hand-built and unframed, and to give it a bit of “pop” vibe, glazing is applied to the white spiky area of work.
